This site was inspired by the coloring book, "A is for Athens," which was produced by the Athens Junior Assembly (now the Junior League of Athens) in 1969 or early 1970s. The text of the book is by Sally Wildmn and Betsy Teague; the illustrations are by Kaye Dillard; and the text was hand-printed by Shirley Hodges. Most of the coloring pages available on the site are taken directly from this book. Some of the drawings and text were updated before inclusion.

The wonderful coloring book was shared with us by Charlotte Marshall. Her kindness and generosity helped shape the content of this site.

The concept and content of this site is from Sandra Townsell, RN, St. Mary's Health Care System.
