Patient and Family Engagement Councils
As part of our efforts to continually improve service delivery and patient experience, St. Mary’s is creating Patient and Family Engagement Councils at all three of our hospitals. These small groups are made up of patients and family members who volunteer to help St. Mary’s improve safety, quality, and patient experience. Councils meet four times a year in meetings that focus on topics such as patient satisfaction, patient safety, patient and family education, communications, physical environment, and quality improvement.
Council members are appreciated as volunteers of St. Mary’s. We ask that members commit to serve for a minimum of one year. Council members must agree to keep private any Protected Health Information that is discussed as part of their Council’s work. Please be aware that space on each hospital’s Council is limited, so not everyone who applies will have an opportunity to serve. Our goal is to create Councils that represent the diversity of the communities we serve.
You can note at which hospital you wish to serve in the application form.
Thank you for your interest in helping St. Mary’s live our Mission to be a compassionate and transforming healing presence within our communities. If you have any questions or would like a paper version of the application, please contact Melissa McDaniel at 706.389.3892.
