St. Mary’s in forefront to maximize maternal safety

St. Mary's Family Birth Center is part of a statewide collaborative that is working to improve Georgia's maternal death rate, currently ranked as one of the worst in the United States. St. Mary's Health Care System colleagues and volunteers on the Monday before Thanksgiving donated 218 turkeys – weighing about 3,700 pounds – to the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia and the Greene County Food Pantry to help families in need this holiday season.
